Not An Adding To, but "There Is Verily a Disannulling" (Heb 7:18)
Did you ever notice the "pattern" of your shadow? What do you know! The exact same number of arms, feet, fingers, and toes! What do you know! The shadow does have an outline description of the body! Heb 9:9 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; 10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation. Private interpretation
How about this one Lev 20:10 And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death. Here is one of the 611 that , according to your words, must have never been done away (but were merely "summarized" in Jesus' two commandments.) And Jesus broke it. John 8:4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. 5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? 6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. 7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. 8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. 9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? 11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. Jesus was the only one who could have kept His statement, and the commandment-"the Torah". But He broke both opting for an even better thing! Gal 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
How is it that you don't understand what remains, and what is changed? Lev 20:10 And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death. 11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
Not one of your passages say to keep all the letter of the Old Testament. The scripture says- Heb 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who
through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot
to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve
the living God? Heb 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is
made of necessity a change also of the law. 13 For he
of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another
tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar. 14
For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of
which tribe Scripture: Acts 15:24 Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment: 25 It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, 26 Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ 27 We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth. 28 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; 29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well. Private interpretation:
Laying aside the commandment of God: Acts 15:24 Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment: 2 Cor 3:7 the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was to be done away: Gal 4:21 Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law? 22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. 23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. 24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar . 30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. 31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free. 1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Gal 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you,
whosoever of you are Num 10:35 And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, Lord, and let thine enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee flee before thee. Here is part of your "letter of the law", do you keep it also? Why not? 2 Chr 19:2 And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the Lord? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the Lord. But the New Testament says this: 2 Th 3:15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother. We keep what Jesus said 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. Mat 5:38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: 39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also. 41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. 42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away. 43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; How could Jesus break the law like this? Because as the scriptures specifically tells us, a change has taken place! Heb 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. Heb 10:9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. Heb 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away. Gal 4:30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman... Gal 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. It is only your words that say that we must obey the Torah "in addition" to the new Testament. That is what is adding to the word of God. Prov 30:6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. 7 Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die: 8 Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me: 9 Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the Lord? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain. You don't see how this scripture so precisely prophesies against you, by saying: "Take the name of my God in vain" (vain=for nothing), do you? Mat 15:7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, 8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. Rom 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Gal 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. (thereby taking on the name of the Lord!) but you have done so in vain: Gal 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. And so we can also see that, what you have said
Is not at all what God's word, Jesus Christ's testament, written in His blood specifically says! His word says "a change" Mat 5:38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: 39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also 43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; His word says there is not an adding to, but a disannulling Heb 7:18 For there is verily a disannulling (S#115) of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof. S#115. athetesis, ath-et'-ay-sis; from G114; cancellation (lit. or fig.):--disannulling, put away. But not to you. The specifically stated scriptures you ignore, refuse, disallow, and twist to your own demise, choosing for doctrines that can only be stated through private interpretations! 2 Pet 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. 17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. 18 But grow in grace, John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
And, once again, you have clearly perverted the gospel of Jesus Christ 1 Cor 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Gal 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Gal 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Pervert- 3344. metastrepho, met-as-tref'-o; from G3326 and G4762; to turn across, i.e. transmute or (fig.) corrupt:--pervert, turn." -Strong's For laying aside the commandment of God: John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 13:34 A *new* commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. Mat 5:38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: 39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also 43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Heb 10:9 He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. Heb 7:18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof. 19 For the law made nothing perfect, Ye hold the tradition of men:
Mark 7:13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye. May God Bless! Please continue with For Finding Fault With Them (Heb 8:8) Part One |
